U.S. VeteranHomegoing celebration for Rev. Isaiah Baity, Sr. of Tampa who passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 will be held Saturday, December 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Progress Village, 8722 Progress Boulevard, Tampa, FL 33619 with Dr. Samuel Maxwell, Sr., Teaching Pastor, officiating. Interment will be Monday, December 12, 2011 at 11:30 A.M. at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife, Barbara C. Baity; parents, Annie Bell Baity and Ralph Baity; son, Horace Baity; sisters and brothers, Mattie Mae Jones, Ruth Williamson, Rena Allen and Reverend Ballom Baity; grandchildren, Dwayne Cummings, Jaleona Holmes, sister-in-law, Wanda Mayweather.

He leaves fond memories with: his children, Pansy Baity-Patterson (Freddie); Jackie
Baity-Morris (Johnny); Isaiah Baity, Jr. (Susan); Marvin Baity (Angela); Darlene Carter (Ernest); Vernon Baity and Barbara Baity; grandchildren; Helena Baity, Lazandious Randall
(Donna); Tira Baity, LaRhonda Hodgins (Paul); LaTasha Baity, Jeannette Baity, Isaiah Baity, III, Donovan Carter, Chaz Carter, Marvin Baity, Jr., Dante Carter, Darnesha Carter and Asha Baity; sister, Marie Beard; daughter-in-law, Barbara Baity; grandson-in-law, Jimmy Holmes; sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty Partin (Preston); Ralph Williams
(Barbara), Ralph Williams (Lillian); Elouise Williams and Dolly Lu Beatty; caretakers, Fran
Alexander and Shernette McNeal; a host of nieces, nephews and a host of other sorrowing relatives and friends.

Rev. Baity was born in Palmetto, Florida and was a long time resident of the Tampa Bay Area. He attended the public school system in Manatee County and graduated from the Baptist Fellowship Center. He was an Associate Pastor as well as a devoted member of the Male Chorus and Number 1 Choir of First Baptist Church of Progress Village and House of Prayer. Rev. Baity was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was a Military Police Officer and State Side Boxing champion in the Navy.
