Homegoing Celebration for Mr. Reginald Jerome Sweatman, age 47 who passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Georgia Health Science Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, will be held Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church (Port Tampa), 7221 S. Sherrill Street, Tampa, Florida, 33616 with the Pastor, Rev. Darryl Matthews, officiating and Rev. Roy E. Young, Jr. Eulogist. Interment will be on Monday March 18, 2013, 11:00 AM in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida

Reginald Jerome Sweatman, Sr. was born in Tampa Florida on September 13, 1965. He attended the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Robinson High School in Port Tampa. Reggie was a member of the Disciples of Christ Ministry before moving to South Carolina. Reggie enjoyed playing Basketball and Video Games.

Reginald enlisted in the United States Army in February 1985 where he was a driver & mechanic until 1991. Upon leaving the Army he went to work for Lockheed Martin Defense Contractors in Livorna, Italy as a heavy track mechanic. Reggie was later employed at Hart Line Transit and Home Depot. He was the owner of Trinity Tree Services and he continued his tree service until his death.

Reginald was preceded in death by his father; Mr. Willie Sweatman Jr. & grandparents.

Reginald leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Olga Lourdes Sweatman of Tampa, FL; 1 son, Reginald Jerome Sweatman, Jr. of Lawndale, California, 1 daughter; Mariana Bradley of Tampa, FL, 4 Step-children, Cesar Larios, James Anthony Stewart and Mariana Larios all of Tampa, FL, and Chase Bradley of Oklahoma. A very faithful, loving and devoted Mother and ; Stepfather; Lawrence and Everlena Hemmingway of Tampa, FL, Grandmother; Pearlie Sweatman, 2 brothers; Freddie Hall (Angelia Martinez) of GA, Michael Sweatman(Billie) of Tampa, Fl. 2 granddaughters; Ra’Ziya Josephine Marie Sweatman of Lawndale, CA, and Jaylynn Marie Bradley of Tampa, FL, Nieces; Sophie Hall of Fairfax, SC, Antoinette Abraham of Baltimore, MD, Aunts; Vera Williams of Tampa, FL, Marie Williams of Sarasota, FL, Cheryl Gallon of Tampa, FL, Joyce Sweatman-Walker of Washington DC, Manthelene Bennett (Ernest) of Baton Rouge, LA, Ladine Munford, Audrey Matthews(Larry), Marilyn Pickett (James) of Tampa, Florida; 1 Great Aunt; Bernice Fells, Uncles; Larnell Hemmingway (Cherlyn), Theodric Hemmingway (Odessa) all of Tampa, FL, 2 Great Uncles; Samuel Hemmingway and Israel Neal (Betty), a host of cousins and other family and friends. Special Cousins; Vanessa Williams, Davinia Patterson and Troy Daniels. Best Friend Chris Shepherd.

There will be viewing from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. with the family being present from 7:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, March 15, 2013 at the Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, Florida 33605.
