Homegoing celebration for Mr. Ezell Mosley of Tampa, who passed away, Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at The Home Association, will be held Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL with the Reverend Sammie McQueen, officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Tampa, FL.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Matrid G. Mosley; daughter, Dorothy Mosley; stepsons, Richard Ashwood and Alfredo Ashwood.
He leaves to cherish fond memories: 2 daughters, Liz Vaughn of Laurel, MS and Cheryl Mosley of Tampa; 1 stepdaughter, Matrid Lynwood of Tampa; 2 stepsons, James Mitchell and wife of Chicago, IL and Herbert Ashwood and wife of Tampa. He also leaves a host of close grandchildren, Avery Mosley, Seidina Simmons, Airiel Woodell of San Francisco, CA; Robert Shabazz, Jermry Shabazz, Jibrail Shabazz, Jackie Vaughn, Pam Thomas and Ricky Vaughn and a host of many more family and friends.
Ezell Mosley was native of Blackwater, Mississippi and a resident of Tampa for 50 years. He was a long time employee of Cook’s Lumber Company and The Home Association of Tampa, FL. He was also a long time member of Friendly Missionary Baptist Church under the late Pastor W. L. Webb. Later he united with Highland Baptist Church where he served until his health failed.
There will be a viewing from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. and the family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday, August 19, 2011 at Wilson Funeral Home, 3000 N. 29th Street, Tampa, FL.
